David and his family (after his wife passed away), are living with his parents in the Wellington Ward of Ottawa in the 1891 census. he is listed as a laborer. His two children (that Barb found) are not with him in this census. Since they don’t appear afterwards with him either, either they went to live with another family, or passed away.

The 1901 census shows him widowed, living with his widowed mother, brother John, and widowed cousin Mary A. Denmark. It also shows him being born in 1849.
