From July 1944 Marshall history:

“Born at Washago, July 10, 1893. Veteran First World War-38 Batt. Graduate Queen’s University. Principal Hon. J.C. Patterson Collegiate Inst. Windsor.”

At the time of their marriage, George was listed as a teacher living in Washago. The witnesses were Edna Buckham of 95 Morrow Street in Peterborough (same address as Mary), and H. McLeod of 108 Crawford Avenue, Windsor.
