Her next marriage (to William Ketching) has her last name as Dodd, but lists her as widowed (as did Alfred’s death certificated decades later). If I had to guess, he didn’t die, but skipped out, and she claimed to be widowed to be able to marry again? She was living in the Township of Ryan at this time.
