CINCPAC - Battle of Midway is another of Ark Royal Games wartime simulation games, based on World War II (in this case, the Battle of Midway in the Pacific). CINCPAC, for those that don't know, stands for "Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Fleet". The game/simulation is a hybrid of BASIC and machine language (most of the graphics and text is ML). In the game, you control 3 shore bases, 3 aircraft carriers, and a few squadrons of aircraft. Like the real battle, you also have the ability to crack the code of Japanese messages. The map is an accurate depiction of about 3000 miles of the Pacific Ocean area (and islands contained within), and is intended for monochrome display, rather than color. One thing that is a little difficult is that since each piece is basically a blinking pixel, it can be hard to see your active pieces.
