Dungeon Raid is based on the Atari 2600 cartridge smash River Raid, although redone with a D&D flavor, as opposed to the original bombing run. Release in late 1983 for the Dragon 32/64 only, it was one of two games that Ken Kalish did exclusivly for the Dragon platform. While I am not positive, I believe that the version included here for download was "Coco-ized" at some point; it now uses artifact colors, which the original Dragon in England could not do because of the PAL TV system.
In this game, you are running down through various corridors, destroying and dodging monsters, and shooting your way through locked doors. You also have a timer working against you, and when a monster explodes (after shooting it), you can still be killed by they're flying debris. You can also control how fast you are scrolling throught the dungeon with the joystick.
