Football game and play select screens

Football is one of the earliest games that Radio Shack/Tandy released for the Coco 1 in 1980. Requiring 2 players, it is standard American football, with plays being selected by the two players simultaneously on the same screen by press the joystick button when the play you want is selected. Until both players hit a button, though, you can keep reselecting to throw your opponent off from knowing which play type you have picked.

Each player gets to control a specific player (while the rest of the players follow the play type you selected), and the offense will change who is controlled during a passing play. The game had a cute bit for getting a touchdown; the player that got the touchdown would throw the ball at the ground and do a little dance.

A little note on the author: Robert Arnstein had created Device Oriented Games to do programming for the TRS-80 Model 1 at the beginning of 1979, and this game is listed in it's manual as being done by that company. Later games for the Coco by Robert are listed under his own name.
