Warrior is a text based strategy simulation where 2 human players are each in control of their own city/state, and the goal is to conquer your opponent. The player has to balance their population and how they are assigned to achieve this goal, splitting them into soldiers / weapon makers, farmers / tool makers, and scholars. Scholars run on their own, but the other two groups are dependent on each other (soldiers and weapon makers, for example) so those have to be balanced. You also have reserves of the farm tools and weapons, as well as food that you have to keep track of. The game is similar to others for the Coco like Viking!, Erland and Castle Greymoon, although more primitive in appearance.

This is likely because the original TRS-80 Model 1/3 version (written by Gary Brown and Bob Moran) was release months before the Coco itself, on January 19, 1980. A scan of the label of the master tape on the Color Computer Archive shows that the Coco version (converted by Paul Herder) was completed on June 23, 1982.
