Zaxxon is the official Coco version of the arcade hit of the same name. Except for some graphical subtleties in the backgrounds, and the slight monotony to the firing/explosion sound routines, the game is pretty dead on to the original arcade game. This is probably Datasofts, and Steve Bjork's, most famous game. This game was also used as an experiment for Datasoft; it was the first one that they tried selling on their own, instead of through Radio Shack. I imagine that it was not going as well as expected; both it and Pooyan showed up later at Radio Shack stores.

There is an alternate title screen with a much more stylized "Zaxxon" ; I believe one was the original Datasoft version and one was the Tandy version.
