Because the Boyle’s were staunch Orangemen, they were against Catholics. When Ray and Elaine announced they were getting married, Thomas refused to attend, as Elaine was Catholic. He relented at the last minute, and did attend the wedding.
Ray was actually born on Tom Hingley’s farm near Lintlaw.
Ray died of cancer at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
