Howard left Ontario, heading out west (eventually to BC) in 1912. He came back to visit for the first time in August, 1948.
There is a possible mention of him in the February 13, 1919 edition of the Plaindealer newspaper (Youngstown, Alberta) - “E.H. Holley, who has been with the Youngstown Meat Market for some time has severed his connection with the firm.” (Not entirely positive this is the same man).
He was living in Surrey, BC at the time of his death, but was in White Rock for the 5 days previous. His death certificate states that he was a butcher for 20 years, retiring in 1956. He died of pneumonia, and was cremated.
