Albert’s family moved to Govan, Saskatchewan in 1903. A few years later, all of the family except Albert and 2 of his brothers moved back to the USA.
In the 1921 census, he and his wife (shown as Ella) were lodging (along with other lodgers) with the James and Mary Kennedy family in Lintlaw, Saskatchewan.
Joined the military in 1941, lying about his age (claiming to be 10 years younger than he was), becoming part of the 43 Provost Corps. Being that he spoke German, he became a translator for German prisoners kept in Canada.
He also worked as a town policeman in Kelvington, Saskatchewan for a few years after WWII.
