Adventure #1: Adventureland is the first of the text adventure games that were originally written by Scott Adams for the TRS-80 Model 1, using a two word VERB NOUN text parser (it had to fit in 16K RAM originally). This one was originally released in 1979, and ported to the Coco by June 1983 by . Later a patched version came out to support the Coco 2B (with the T1 derivative of the VDG (Video Display Generator) chip, which featured true lowercase letters. This also works with the Coco 3. The game also supports saving and restoring a game in progress.
Adventureland was rated by the company as a Moderate skill adventure game. The mission is to wander through an enchanted realm and recover 13 lost treasures.
NOTE: By August of 1983, Adventure International was offering Tri-Pack adventures for both the Coco and the Atari 8 bits; these offered 3 adventures for 1 lower price. The packs were Adventures 1-3, Adventures 4-6, Adventures 7-9 and Adventures 10-12.
