Cuthbert in Space is an original arcade style game that was originally released on the Dragon 32 in the UK. It was later sold by Tandy in the UK as well, and at a later point converted for NTSC Coco's with artifact colors, shown here. In this game, you control the little shuttle and try to collect the fuel pods (the blue rectangles) found on the ledges of each level. You must land on top of them to pick them up, and you can only carry one at a time back to your mothership. You also have Intergalactic Police Force ships flying across the screen at various speeds that you either have to dodge or shoot. Once you have collected all of the fuel pods, you go into the looting mission, where you have gather the falling loot before they reach the bottom of the screen. Once you have completed the looting screen, you warp to the next planet. It should be noted that there are many planets (really the platform layouts), and each has their own unique name... and their order is randomized each game, so you may start on a different platform the next time you play the game.
The game is quite fast paced, offers a pause feature, and can be played via joystick or keyboard. This game ended up being cross-platform, with versions for the Commodore 16, 64, Plus/4 and Sinclair QL also coming out.
