Draconian is loosely based on the arcade game Bosconian (in fact, the layout of the space prisons you see on the map on the right of the game screenshots
have quite a few layouts in common with Draconian), but Draconian adds some original elements in it's own right. The first is the fact that you don't simply destroy bases as
in the arcade original, but you must free, and then rescue, the astronauts trapped inside. You also have a very large, indestructible Dragon that will chase you from your original
entry point on the screen if you take too long. I don't know how many levels there are, but there is at least 10 that I know of. Each starts spreading the humans out more, making it much more difficult to rescue them all.
You also have to contend with space mines, asteroids, smaller dragons that chase you (but you can kill), and the bases fire back as well. To get to the next level, in which you go through tunnels at
the top of the level, you must destroy ALL the bases (although, you don't necessarily have to rescue all the humans.
The game features multi-voice music during the intro, and between levels (when you get bonus points for how many men you have rescued).
