Klondike is based on the card game Klondike that is common on computers today, all done in text and low res graphics. The game play on this one is slightly different in that the goal is to get all 4 alternating suits of all card values in descending order (so King down to Ace, in alternating blue and red suits); there is no final 4 piles that one works from Ace up to King to win. The game does skill levels by how many cards one flips over at a time when drawing from the pile. As with the game it was paired with for < $12.00 (Eye-Witness), Klondike uses keyboard controls where the play selects the card to move by row (a letter) then column (a number). One can move an entire pile over by selecting the top row; unlike most modern Klondike games, you can not split a pile. All keyboard inputs are 2 key sequences, except to draw cards from the deck (which is just the 'X' key). The version on the Treasury Pack is Version 2; I am not sure of the differences compared to the earlier version 1. If the player wins, a little bit of music is played.

NOTE: The BASIC program has some remarks in it - one says that the key repeat was fixed by JPG. I don't know who that is.
