Questprobe #1: Hulk is the first of line of text adventure games based on Marvel Comics characters that used the standard text adventure game language that Scott Adams used at Adventure International, both the regular pure text engine (like the Coco version uses) and the S.A.G.A. graphic version used by the Atari 8 bit and Apple II machines. Marvel and Adventure International met to discuss a collaboration culminating with a contract signed on December 1, 1983. The planned series outline was done by Scott Adams, John Byrne and Bob Budiansky. Originally there were plans to do 12 adventures in all (and accompanying comic books), but only 3 were completed before Adventure International went out of business in 1985. I have not been able to confirm if the other 2 Questprobe games made it to the Coco or not (some sites claim it did, but no one seems to have any screenshots, etc. of it).
Like with the original 13 adventures, this one also had a later patch applied to support the Coco 2B (with the T1 derivative of the VDG (Video Display Generator) chip, which featured true lowercase letters. This also works with the Coco 3. The game also supports saving and restoring a game in progress.
Quest Probe 1: Hulk (called "Marvel Adventure #1" internally) starts with the player being Bruce Banner (the Hulk's human form) tied to a chair, and the goal is to explore the mysterious lair of the Chief Examiner. Along the way the player encounters some other Marvel characters.
The game also features a dedication at the beginning to Stan Lee, Alexis Adams and CIS CBers (Compuserve Information Services had a multi-person chat section with different channels depending on interests that they called CB. It also adds "With Special Thanks to Joe Calamari & Jim Shooter!"
