The Final Countdown is a text adventure game written in BASIC (with a machine language subroutine to handle partial screen scrolling), that was an early game for sale for the Coco 1/2 from Jarb Software. In this adventure, a mad General is about to start World War III by launching a nuclear bomb at Moscow, and you have 100 turns to prevent that from happening. You start outside of the military base that the General is in, and your first order of business is to figure out how to get into the base, since you are not authorized. The General himself can pop up at random during gameplay as well.
